Serbian president thanks Georgian PM for hospitality and invites him to Belgrade

President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić has thanked Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze for the hospitality extended to him and his delegation during an official visit to Georgia.

In a letter addressed to the Georgian prime minister, Vučić highlighted the progress achieved by Georgia and praised the country's leadership for its commitment to further development and tangible results.

"I sincerely thank you for the exceptional and warm hospitality that you and your team extended to me and my delegation during our official visit to Georgia," Vučić wrote.

He said the warmth and brotherly relations between the Serbian and Georgian peoples were evident throughout the visit, adding that the two countries are united by shared values, a similar historical experience and the tradition of Orthodox Christianity.

The Serbian president also said he was impressed by Georgia's rapid progress and expressed pride in the country's achievements, which he said were deserved by both the state and its citizens.

Vučić expressed confidence that the most significant achievements in bilateral cooperation still lie ahead and would benefit both countries' business communities and citizens.

He also invited Kobakhidze to visit Belgrade in October.

"Before welcoming you to Belgrade in October as a cherished guest and brother, I would like to take this opportunity to once again wish you all the best and reaffirm my highest respect," the Serbian president said.
