In a session of the temporary investigative commission of the Georgian Parliament over alleged crimes under the United National Movement Government between 2003-2012, Aluda Gudushauri, the First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Human Rights Protection and Civil Integration, emphasized the importance of dignity for the Georgian people.

Gudushauri declared that while Georgians may be willing to sacrifice their material possessions, they would never relinquish their dignity.

"A Georgian may sacrifice 100% of his material wealth, but he will not give up 1% of his dignity," Gudushauri claimed. He criticized what he described as attempts to undermine the historical, religious, and cultural values of the Georgian people. "They measured it from a commercial point of view, believing they could take 90% and leave 10%, assuming that would be tolerated. But dignity is non-negotiable."

The MP accused certain individuals of directly participating in unjust actions and "enjoying this evil," implying that violations against the dignity of Georgians were deliberate.
