Anna Tsitlidze, one of the leaders of the United National Movement (UNM), has urged opposition forces to prioritise unity, saying that the struggle for Georgia’s freedom was more important than internal differences within the opposition spectrum.

“The position of the United National Movement has always been unity. We were ready to make concessions to create a common opposition platform,” Tsitlidze said.

The official noted the political landscape was divided between what she described as a “Russian occupation regime” on one side and, on the other, those seeking to defend Georgia’s freedom. She stressed that both short-term and long-term objectives required coordinated action and shared responsibility.

“Everyone must realise that the fight for this country’s freedom is far more valuable than any differences that may exist within the opposition spectrum,” she added.
