German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock has reacted to the Georgian parliament’s overriding of the president’s veto on the law on transparency of foreign influence on social networks.

“The Georgian government once again ignores the will of the absolute majority of Georgians, who come out every day on the streets for their European future. Therefore, they distance the country from Europe, but it’s never too late to change the course,” Baerbock wrote.

The parliamentary majority overcame the president’s veto on Tuesday amid mass protests in the country against the legislation.
