Latvian FM expresses condolences over death of Patriarch Ilia II

Latvia’s Foreign Minister Baiba Braže has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Ilia II, Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia.

“I am saddened by the passing of His Holiness Ilia II. His lifelong dedication to faith, unity, spiritual strength, and the better future of the Georgian people leaves a lasting legacy,” Braže wrote.

Ilia II died on March 17 at the age of 93.
