Turkish citizen wanted by Interpol arrested in Batumi

A Turkish citizen wanted by Interpol under a Red Notice has been arrested in Batumi, Georgia, the Interior Ministry said.

The man was wanted at the request of Turkish law enforcement authorities.

Officers from the Adjara Main Division of the Central Criminal Police Department detained the suspect in Batumi following investigative measures.

Extradition proceedings are now under way, the ministry said.
