Turkish national wanted by Interpol arrested in Georgia’s Batumi

Georgian police have arrested a Turkish national wanted under an Interpol Red Notice on fraud charges, the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.
According to the ministry, officers from the Adjara Main Division of the Central Criminal Police Department arrested the suspect in the Black Sea coastal city of Batumi following an investigation.
The individual was wanted at the request of Turkish law enforcement authorities in connection with alleged fraud.
The ministry said extradition proceedings were underway in accordance with Georgian law.
