Interpol Red Notice suspect wanted in serious drug case detained in Batumi

A Turkish national wanted under an Interpol Red Notice for a serious drug-related offense has been detained in Batumi, Georgia, the Interior Ministry said on Monday.

The detention was carried out in a joint operation by officers of the Adjara Main Division of the Central Criminal Police Department and the Counterterrorism Center of the State Security Service.

The suspect was wanted by Turkish law enforcement authorities in connection with a serious drug-related crime.

Law enforcement officers detained the wanted individual in Batumi following investigative measures.
