Ruling Georgian Dream Founder meets UAE President in Tbilisi

Bidzina Ivanishvili, Founder and Honorary Chair of the ruling Georgian Dream party, on Friday met with Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, during his official visit to Georgia.

Ivanishvili thanked Sheikh Mohamed for his visit and emphasised the importance of the friendly relations between the two countries. He noted economic ties between Georgia and the UAE had deepened in recent years and expressed hope that cooperation would continue to grow through new investments.

“I am delighted to host you in Georgia. In recent years, relations between our countries have strengthened, and I want to thank you for your role in this. It is encouraging that our economic ties are becoming even stronger, which will benefit both countries. Your investments in Georgia will bring us even closer. I hope we will meet again in the future to further deepen this partnership,” Ivanishvili said.

Sheikh Mohamed expressed gratitude for the welcome and underlined his commitment to expanding economic cooperation.

“I am pleased to be in your beautiful country and to have the honour of meeting you personally. As you know, we are launching a $6 billion investment in Georgia in the coming days. I also express my readiness to support Georgian students studying in the UAE and help young people advance in the field of artificial intelligence. Our friendly ties are mutually beneficial, and I am ready to expand our investments in Georgia even further,” Sheikh Mohamed stated.
