Budanov: Ukraine will intensify strikes inside Russia if war continues

Ukraine will step up attacks on Russian territory if Moscow does not end its war against Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, head of Ukraine’s Presidential Office, said in an interview with Latvian public broadcaster LTV.

“If Russia does not stop hostilities against us, it will clearly feel this even more and more intensely. Our strikes will become increasingly deeper and more powerful,” Budanov said.

Budanov said the scale and intensity of Ukraine’s strikes would depend directly on Russia’s decision to continue the war.

His comments came after Ukraine carried out increasingly long-range attacks inside Russia. Recent Ukrainian strikes have targeted sites deep inside Russian territory, amid an intensifying aerial campaign between the two countries.

At the same time, Budanov said Ukraine remained ready for a ceasefire and negotiations, stressing that Kyiv wanted the war to end on acceptable terms.
