Coronavirus in Georgia: daily cases stand at 22,263, 203,238 remain infected

Georgia has confirmed  22,263 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours, while active cases stand at 203,238 in the country. 

 

73,821 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours, including 46,355 antigen tests and 27,466 PCR tests.

 

The total number of confirmed cases since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country in February 2020 is 1,272,371.

 

As for the positivity rate, as of February 3, the daily rate is 30.16%, for the last 14 days – 25.24% and for seven days – 27.87%.

 

5,575 people recovered from the virus in the past 24 hours, while the total number of people recovered increased to 1,053,966.

 

39 new cases of coronavirus death have been reported. A total of 15,141 people have died from the virus since April 2020.

 

The new cases for Tbilisi and regions are as follows: 

 

Tbilisi – 10 129 cases,

Adjara – 2 173, 

Imereti – 3 357, 

Kvemo Kartli – 1 340, 

Shida Kartli – 1 279, 

Guria – 456, 

Samegrelo – Zemo Svaneti – 1 480,

Kakheti – 1 091,

Mtskheta-Mtianeti – 479 , 

Samtskhe-Javakheti – 376,

Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti – 103.

 

5,808 people are undergoing treatment in hospitals.
