Covid daily cases decrease to 51 in Georgia, active cases stand at 1,091

Georgia has reported 51 new cases of coronavirus out of the 4,638 tests in the past 24 hours, while 1,091 remain infected with the Omicron strain of coronavirus in the country.

 

Ninety-five people have recovered from the virus in the reported period, while one patient died.

 

A total of 16,811 people have died from the virus in the country since April 2020.

 

The new cases for Tbilisi and regions are as follows:

 

Tbilisi – 36 cases,

 

Adjara – 5,

 

Imereti – 3,

 

Kvemo Kartli – 0,

 

Shida Kartli – 2,

 

Guria – 2,

 

Samegrelo – Zemo Svaneti – 0,

 

Kakheti – 2,

 

Mtskheta-Mtianeti – 0,

 

Samtskhe-Javakheti – 1,

 

Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti – 0.

 

Only 286 Covid patients are currently undergoing treatment in hospitals.
