Czech Ambassador praises Tea Maisuradze’s service following her resignation

Czech Ambassador to Georgia, Petr Kuberná, has expressed admiration for Tea Maisuradze, the Georgian Ambassador to the Czech Republic, following her resignation on Monday after the Government’s decision to delay EU accession talks until 2028.

“Dear Tea, I truly appreciate your decision. You have my respect! It was a great pleasure to work with you. Thank you very much. I am ready to support you wherever you are. I wish you and Georgia only the best!” Kuberná wrote in a public statement.

Tea Maisuradze announced her decision to step down on Monday, marking the end of nearly two decades of diplomatic service. She highlighted her dedication to advancing Georgia’s European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations, as well as safeguarding its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

“It is a great honor for me to serve the national interests of my country for almost two decades, to promote its European and Euro-Atlantic integration while protecting its sovereignty and territorial integrity. I remain committed to Georgia’s European future!” Maisuradze stated on social media.
