Daily Covid cases at 14,405 in Georgia, active cases at 161,827

Georgia has reported 14,405 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours, while active infections stand at 161,827.   

48,595 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours, including 30,616 rapid and 17,979 PCR tests. 

24,409 people recovered from the virus in the reported period, while the total number of people recovered increased to 1,348,581. 

42 new deaths were confirmed in the past 24 hours, while a total of 15,771 people have died from the virus since April 2020.

Tbilisi – 7 040,  

Adjara – 825,  

Imereti – 2 014,  

Kvemo Kartli – 734,  

Shida Kartli – 841,  

Guria – 565,  

Samegrelo – Zemo Svaneti – 902,  

Kakheti – 948,  

Mtskheta -Mtianeti – 261,  

Samtskhe-Javakheti – 199, 

Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti – 76.  

5,818 people are being treated in hospitals as of now.
