Daily Covid cases at 237 in Georgia, active cases decrease to 2,821

Georgia has reported 237 new cases  of coronavirus out of the 22,932 tests over the past 24 hours, while active cases have decreased to 2,821 from almost 100,000 in mid-winter.

 

The total number of confirmed cases since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country is 1,652,472.

 

648 people have recovered from the virus in the reported period, while the total number of people recovered increased to 1,632,842.

 

There have been two new cases of coronavirus deaths recorded in the last 24 hours.

 

A total of 16,783 people have died from the virus in the country since April 2020.

 

The new cases for Tbilisi and regions are as follows:

 

Tbilisi – 129 cases,

 

 Adjara – 6,

 

Imereti – 26,

 

 Kvemo Kartli – 15,

 

Shida Kartli – 9,

 

 Guria – 8,

 

Samegrelo – Zemo Svaneti – 11,

 

Kakheti – 24,

 

Mtskheta-Mtianeti -2,

 

Samtskhe-Javakheti – 2,

 

Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti – 5.

 

Only 359 people are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of now.
