Degnan: we reaffirmed no talks on Georgia, Ukraine with Russia possible without the two countries

US Ambassador to Georgia Kelly Degnan says that America has already stated clearly that no talks are possible with Russia about European security without Europe and on Ukraine and Georgia without the two countries. 

Russia is demanding from NATO to break its promise given to Georgia and Ukraine back in 2008 on future membership. 

Degnan says that the recent meeting of Georgian FM with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg points at the importance of Georgia’s involvement in preparing responses to Russia amid the current tension at the Ukrainian border. 

She said that it is the sovereign right of Georgia to make a choice on its future and foreign policy priorities.
