US State-Sec Blinken: Russia committing war crimes in Ukraine

US State Secretary Antony Blinken has agreed with the country’s President Joe Biden and stated yesterday that Russia is committing war crimes in Ukraine following its invasion of the country on February 24.

Blinken said that the US is continuing to carry out the process to make a formal determination, and in order "to make sure that our findings help international efforts to investigate war crimes and hold those responsible accountable."

The UN says that at least 780 civilians have been killed and 1,252 injured in Ukraine since the beginning of hostilities, noting that the true number is likely to be much higher.

More than 3.2 million people have also fled to neighboring countries since the beginning of the war, mostly to neighboring states.
