The outflow amounted to 205,857 individuals, marking a notable increase from the previous year. Concurrently, emigration saw a rise of 14.5%, with 245,064 people leaving the country.


62.2% of immigrants fall within the working-age population bracket, reflecting a demographic trend in migration patterns. Likewise, a substantial portion of emigrants, 75.9%, and immigrants, 62.2%, belong to the working-age cohort (ages 15-64).


In 2023, 44.6% of immigrants and 66.7% of emigrants retained Georgian citizenship.
