Georgian PM calls incumbent President a “traitor”

Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, criticized President Salome Zourabichvili’s recent comments against the Government and the controversial foreign transparency bill , suggesting she has lost her influence within the political landscape.

In an interview on the Imedi LIVE program, Kobakhidze characterized Zourabichvili, who is accusing the Georgian Dream authorities of aligning with Russian interests, as a mere cog in the opposition's machinery, devoid of any meaningful impact.

Kobakhidze further remarked on the challenges facing the opposition in mobilizing resources, casting doubt on their ability to garner significant support.

"The saddest thing is that the person who is still legally called the president of Georgia is simply a traitor to this country, I will say this directly. She directly betrays the national interests of Georgia”, Kobakhidze asserted.
