Georgian journalist Dito Chubinidze released on ₾4,000 bail

Dito Chubinidze, a journalist with the Georgian newspaper Asaval-Dasavali, has had his pre-trial detention replaced with bail set at 4,000 lari ($1,480).

Chubinidze’s defence team appealed the detention order to the Court of Appeals.

The Prosecutor General’s Office had arrested Chubinidze on charges of treason, specifically sabotage.
