“It is important that the new strain, as world practice already shows, has a different pace and complexity. Therefore, the spread of the infection distinguishes the fourth wave from the second wave” – the Minister of Health, Ekaterine Tikaradze said.

The minister said it was expected that the delta strain would spread more easily.

“We passed the third wave relatively easily, but the fourth wave is much harder and more difficult than expected, as we have seen how fast the delta strain has spread in other countries. This is the main reason why we are in this difficult process today” – said Tikaradze.
