The 130th meeting of the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism (IPRM) was held in the village of Ergneti in the Gori municipality of Georgia, where participants reviewed all significant incidents recorded in the occupied region and along the occupation line since the previous session.
Georgia’s State Security Service said its representatives once again demanded the punishment of those responsible for the killing of Georgian citizen Tamaz Ginturi.
Representatives of the central government placed particular emphasis on the issue of individuals held in unlawful detention and called for the release of all detainees.
Illegal restrictions on freedom of movement were also a key topic of discussion. Participants held extensive talks on the movement regime at the so-called crossing points.
The next IPRM meeting is scheduled for March 31.
