The Head of the Public Diplomacy Section in the US Embassy in Georgia, Harvey Sernovitz, visited Central University of Europe this week to discuss higher education development and international cooperation.

The visit focused on learning about the activities of regional universities, their development priorities and opportunities for expanding international partnerships, the University press office said.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the university's International Relations, Strategic Development and Quality Assurance Office, as well as the deans of the faculties of Social Sciences, Business and Law, and Medicine.

During the visit, university officials presented the institution's mission, strategic development priorities, academic programmes, international partnerships and ongoing projects. Particular attention was given to the university's experience in international cooperation, its internationalisation process and opportunities available to students and academic staff.

The discussion was held in an interactive format, with participants exchanging views on the challenges and opportunities facing the higher education sector. They also discussed prospects for cooperation in education, research and international development initiatives.
