European University representatives participate in AMEE 2026 conference in Vienna

Representatives of European University participated in the 2026 annual conference of the Association for Medical Education in Europe (AMEE), held in Vienna between August 22-26.

The university delegation included Vice President Tamar Zarginava, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Natia Jojuа, Deputy Dean Lasha Dolidze, and Head of the Medical Doctor Educational Programme Tinatin Gogonadze.

AMEE 2026 brought together medical education professionals from around the world and served as an international platform for sharing modern approaches, research experience and best practices, as well as strengthening professional cooperation and developing new educational initiatives.

The conference focused on the future of medical education, innovative teaching approaches and the role of education in the development of modern healthcare systems. Its programme included plenary sessions, symposia, interactive workshops and research presentations, covering topics such as the use of artificial intelligence and digital technologies in education, modern assessment methods, interprofessional education and contemporary medical education research.

European University said its participation was particularly important for sharing international experience and further developing modern educational practices at its Faculty of Medicine.

Dean Natia Jojuа also attended the AMEE Institutional Members Forum, where representatives of member universities shared institutional experience and best practices, discussed prospects for future cooperation and learned about opportunities and activities offered by AMEE to member institutions.

The university said participation in the forum and annual conference will help strengthen its engagement in international academic and professional networks, develop cooperation with partner universities and integrate international experience into its educational process to further improve the quality of medical education.
