Foreigners traveling in Georgia will get ‘green status’ to access various establishments across the country easier than earlier, the government of Georgia says.

If a foreign citizen presents a QR code or a document issued by an official agency of his/her country that they are fully vaccinated or a negative PCR test certificate, they will be able to enter restaurants, museums and other facilities in Georgia.

The decision has already come into force.

Foreign nationals can also register either in Georgia e-health or CovidPass Georgia apps to gain the green status.

However, if they are unable to do so, the simplified rules are for them.

Green status is mandatory to enter the following facilities in Georgia starting December 1:

Food facilities: cafes, restaurants, bars (both open and closed spaces)

Cinemas

Theatres

Opera house

Museums

Concert halls

Entertainment centres

Casinos, gambling facilities

Spas

Gyms

Hotels

Mountain resorts
