Minister of Foreign Affairs of France Catherine Colonna has been scheduled to visit Georgia on Friday as part of her regional trip, the French foreign office announced on Tuesday.

While in Tbilisi, the official will hold meetings with president Salome Zourabichvili, prime minister Irakli Garibashvili and her Georgian counterpart Ilia Darchiashvili, before visiting Azerbaijan and Armenia between April 26-28.

Colonna wil express her support for domestic judiciary reforms and the civil sector that are necessary for the country’s European integration, her office noted.

The European Union is scheduled to decide on Georgia’s membership candidate status by the end of this year, in the wake of Tbilisi’s official application for membership in March 2022.
