Police said that following the altercation, one of the participants deliberately drove a vehicle into two individuals

Police in Georgia’s Kvemo Kartli region have arrested two men and identified three others in connection with a violent incident that resulted in one death, the Interior Ministry said.

According to investigators, a confrontation involving six residents of the Gardabani municipality escalated into a physical fight. During the clash, one individual stabbed two people with a bladed weapon.

Police said that following the altercation, one of the participants deliberately drove a vehicle into two individuals. As a result, one man died at the scene, while four others sustained injuries and were taken to hospital by emergency medical services.

Officers from the Kvemo Kartli Police Department detained two suspects shortly after the incident, while three additional individuals were identified as involved. Those arrested are men born in 2000 and 1995.

The investigation is being conducted under articles of the Criminal Code relating to attempted intentional murder, violent violation of property inviolability, and group violence against two or more persons. The charges carry a potential sentence of up to 20 years in prison.
