Heavy rain is expected in the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti and Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti regions from the second half of 25 August through the end of 26 August, Georgia's National Environment Agency said.
The agency said on Tuesday rainfall would be intermittent and could be heavy in some areas, with thunderstorms and stronger winds also possible.
Heavy precipitation could cause a significant rise in river levels and flooding on smaller rivers, while triggering or intensifying landslides and mudflows in hilly and mountainous areas.
The hazard level has been assessed as medium, according to the agency.
