State Security Service head Geka Geladze on Sunday congratulated police officers on Georgia’s Police Day, thanking them for their service and dedication to public safety.

“May 31 is Police Day. I congratulate every police officer who proudly wears the uniform and remains loyal to this honourable profession and to the police oath,” Geladze said.

Drawing on his experience as a former interior minister, he noted the challenges and responsibilities faced by law enforcement officers, saying he understood the risks they take in carrying out their duties.

“A strong police force means a strong and secure state. Police are strong and successful when they are made up of professional officers who serve Georgia through their daily and selfless work,” he said.

Geladze also thanked police officers for their courage and service, describing them as individuals who often stand on the front line in ensuring public safety.

He wished police personnel continued success and extended his congratulations on the professional holiday of the Georgian police.
