Georgia reports 10,230 new cases of Covid

Georgia has reported 10,230 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours.

40,504 tests were conducted across the country, including 25,251 rapid  tests and 15,253 PCR tests.

The total number of confirmed cases detected since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country in February 2020 is 1,575,999.

The positivity rate as of yesterday is 25.26%, for the last 14 days – 29.89% and for past seven days – 27.73%.

7,223 people recovered from the virus in the past 24 hours, while the total number of people recovered increased to 1,429,763.

48 new cases of coronavirus deaths took place in the last 24 hours. A total of 15,981 people have died from the virus since April 2020.

The new cases for Tbilisi and regions are as follows: 

Tbilisi – 4, 305 cases, 

Adjara – 523,

 Imereti – 1, 662, 

Kvemo Kartli – 541,

Shida Kartli – 638, 

Guria – 424, 

Samegrelo – Zemo Svaneti – 779, 

Kakheti – 842, 

Mtskheta-Mtianeti – 218, 

Samtskhe-Javakheti – 208, 

Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti – 90.

130,229 individuals remain infected with coronavirus as of now of which: 5,252 people are placed in hospitals.
