Georgia’s Covid daily cases at 12,101, 127,270 remain infected

Georgia has reported 12,101 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours, while active cases stand at 127,270 in the country as of today. 

47,486 tests were conducted across the country in the past 24 hours, including 33,164 rapid tests and 14,322 PCR tests.

The total number of confirmed cases detected since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in Georgia in February 2020 is 1,565,769.

The daily positivity rate  is 25.48%, for the last 14 days – 30.65% and for the past seven days – 28.55%.

14,764 people recovered from the virus in the reported period, while the total number of people recovered increased to 1,422,540.

45 new deaths were recorded in the past 24 hours, while a  total of 15,933 people have died from the virus since April 2020.

Tbilisi – 5 269 cases, 

Adjara – 659, 

Imereti – 1 935, 

Kvemo Kartli – 578, 

Shida Kartli – 918, 

Guria – 471, 

Samegrelo – Zemo Svaneti – 801, 

Kakheti – 795, 

Mtskheta -Mtianeti – 340, 

Samtskhe-Javakheti – 199, 

Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti – 136.

5,358 people are placed in hospitals for treatment.
