Georgia’s fifth President Salome Zourabichvili on Thursday condemned the latest Russian missile strikes on Kyiv, calling the attack a “brutal act of aggression” and expressing solidarity with Ukraine.

“Strongly condemn today’s missile attacks in Kyiv. Innocent lives lost, over 70 injured in yet another brutal act of aggression. Our thoughts are with Ukraine. Our solidarity is with Ukrain[e].”

Her remarks follow a wave of missile attacks launched by Russia earlier in the day that left at least nine civilians dead and more than 70 injured in the Ukrainian capital and surrounding regions. Ukrainian officials report widespread destruction to homes, schools, hospitals, and critical infrastructure.
