The Georgian Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned Russia’s move to invade Ukraine and stated that the current developments are affecting not only Ukraine but the whole international community.  “We are deeply concerned about the developments in Ukraine. Russia’s military actions are undermining Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty,” said the ministry.

The Foreign Ministry called on the international community to take all measures to de-escalate the situation and stop the violence.

“Russia’s military actions are undermining Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, as well as the fundamental principles of the UN Charter and the international law which will lead to dire consequences not only for Ukraine but for the international community as a whole. We express our solidarity with our friendly Ukrainian people,” said the ministry.
