Georgian PM meets Eurochambres president in Tbilisi

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili on Tuesday met with Vladimír Dlouhý, the President of Eurochambres and the Czech Chamber of Commerce, in Tbilisi. 

Garibashvili congratulated Dlouhý on his appointment as President of Eurochambres earlier this month and wished him success in his future endeavors.

The meeting in the Government office was focused on expanding trade relations, trade liberalizations, and export markets, as well as  Georgia’s investment potential and the country’s “favorable business environment” for foreign investors, the government press office said. 

Garibashvili also highlighted Georgia’s “unique geographic location” and its “rising role as a regional trade, digital, transport, and logistic hub was underlined”. 

The meeting was also attended by the Vice President of Eurochambres and the President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and CEO of Eurochambres Ben Butters. 

The Georgian side was represented by Vice Prime Minister and the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Levan Davitashvili and President of Georgia’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry Giorgi Pertaia.
