Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili has met French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris amid ongoing hostilities in Ukraine, stating that she had an interesting conversation ‘on all the issues that confront us.’

Following the meeting Zurabishvili posted a video on her Twitter account, addressing the Ukrainian people and reaffirming support for them.

“I wish them resilience, because today Ukraine is fighting for everyone. It fights for Georgia, it fights for the whole of Europe and it fights for freedom,” Ziurabishvili said.

Ukraine has submitted an application for EU membership during the war. It is expected that the membership of Georgia and Moldova in the EU may be discussed along with Ukraine.
