Georgian PM Irakli Garibashvili, Ukrainian PM Denys Shmyhal and Moldovan PM Natalia Gavrilița are scheduled to meet with European Council President Charles Michel, EU Commissioner Ursula von der Leyen and President of European Parliament David-Maria Sassoli later today.

It is the first ever visit of the Associated Trio to Brussels, which is taking place before the Eastern Partnership Initiative Summit on December 15.

The PMs have already discussed expectations for the summit earlier today, before the  meetings with the EU officials take place.

Georgia is expecting the summit to reflect Georgia’s European aspirations, support for its territorial integrity and encourage steps for sectoral integration with the EU.

Georgia also wishes closer partnership with the EU in the fields of transport and communication.
