Archil Talakvadze, the Georgian Vice Parliament Speaker from the ruling Georgian Dream party on Friday slammed the head of the Servant of the People faction in the Ukrainian Rada, David Arakhamia, for making “non-friendly” statements towards the GD authorities, noting that “none of Georgians had won a fight against motherland” as Arakhamia is of Georgian origin.

In his video on Thursday, Arakhamia criticised the Georgian Dream Government for “not properly condemning” Russian aggression against Georgia and Ukraine on the 14th anniversary of the Russia-Georgia war on August 8, accusing the GD Government of cooperation with Russia.

In comments, Talakvadze claimed that the Georgian officials “maximally refrained” from responding to the “ unfounded allegations” of several Ukrainian officials, “since our friendly country, Ukraine, is at war with Russia”.

“As for Arakhamia, these are unfriendly statements made by him towards Georgia”, Talakvadze said, adding that he was “surprised” that Ukrainian politicians could find time to make comments on Georgia’s internal affairs amid the war.
