Starting today Georgians will not be obliged to wear facemasks outdoors, per the government’s decision made earlier this month.

Facemasks are still mandatory in transport and in closed facilities.

The Georgian authorities say that the daily coronavirus cases have dropped significantly.

However, they still encourage the public to receive the coronavirus vaccine.

About 43 percent of the country’s adult population have been fully vaccinated since March 2021.
