Georgian opposition politician Giga Lemonjava accused Bidzina Ivanishvili, the founder and honorary chairman of the ruling Georgian Dream party, of helping Russia generate additional financial resources.

Lemonjava, one of the leaders of the Coalition for Change, made the remarks on Monday while arguing that Western pressure on Georgia's ruling party would continue to intensify.

He also said he believed additional sanctions were being prepared by the United Kingdom, European Union member states and EU institutions.
