Giga Lemonjava, one of the leaders of the opposition Coalition for Change, has called for a nationwide campaign advocating for new, free and fair elections, arguing that they are the only way to resolve Georgia’s political crisis.
Lemonjava said organising a broad national campaign in support of fresh elections should be the opposition’s main priority.
He argued that the majority of the Georgian public believes the country’s current political crisis can only be resolved through free and fair elections.
According to Lemonjava, even many supporters of the ruling Georgian Dream party acknowledge that the country is facing a political crisis and see new elections as the path towards resolving it.
