UNM’s Botkoveli: we are ready to take part in ‘any process’ aimed at opposition unity

Giorgi Botkoveli, regional secretary of the opposition United National Movement, on Tuesday said that his party was ready to participate in “any process” focused on uniting opposition forces in Georgia.

“It is very simple, we must set aside our political egos, personal goals and ambitions, and stand together”, Botkoveli said.

He highlighted that his team was prepared for joint efforts, regardless of past disagreements among political groups.

“It no longer matters who said what about whom yesterday. We see that our country is being lost and we must put everything else aside. We have always made this call and we remain ready to take part in any process that serves the goal of opposition unity. We are ready to join any discussion table where unity is on the agenda”, Botkoveli added.
