Opposition leader and former Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia has accused Georgian Dream of undermining a key international security platform as Russia accelerates what he described as annexation processes in the occupied Tskhinvali region.
"The Georgian Dream delegation's disgraceful performance at the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly in The Hague. Since it failed to deceive the OSCE community, the Georgian Dream delegation left the session in protest, receiving a fair and appropriate response from OSCE Parliamentary Assembly President Pere Pons," Gakharia wrote on social media on Wednesday.
He said Georgian Dream had completely destroyed its reputation both domestically and internationally.
"Inside the country, they respond to the truth with violence, imprisonment and fines, while abroad they respond with disgraceful hysteria," Gakharia said.
"At a time when Russia is accelerating annexation processes in the occupied Tskhinvali region, Georgian Dream is sabotaging one of the most important security platforms instead of using it to mobilise our allies."
"This is a serious and direct blow to Georgia's national security and vital interests," Gakharia wrote.
