Abkhazia government chair meets Turkish ambassador to Georgia

Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia Giorgi Jincharadze has met Turkey's Ambassador to Georgia Mustafa Türker Arı to discuss bilateral cooperation and support for people displaced from Abkhazia.

Jincharadze congratulated the Turkish diplomat on his appointment and wished him success in his mission in Georgia, his office said on Wednesday.

The chairman highlighted the close partnership and friendly relations between Georgia and Turkey, and thanked the Turkish Embassy for projects implemented in support of people displaced by the conflict in Abkhazia.

During the meeting, the two sides also discussed prospects for future cooperation and areas for further collaboration.
