International relations specialist Giorgi Loladze says few observers had expected Ukraine to maintain its front line four years into the war.
Loladze added Ukraine has not only held its positions but has also managed to de-occupy several major cities and regions during this period.
“Very few imagined that four years later Ukraine would still be holding the front line. Not only has it held, but several large cities and regions have been de-occupied,” he said.
Loladze attributed this outcome to the resilience of the Ukrainian people, the government’s decision to remain in Kyiv during the first days of the war despite Western advice to leave, increasing support from the United States and Europe and the development of Ukraine’s domestic military production.
He added that these factors together helped preserve Ukraine’s statehood.
