Former President of the National Bank of Georgia, Giorgi Kadagidze, has been fined GEL 2,500 following his detention during the February 2 protest near Vakhushti Bridge in Tbilisi.

Kadagidze denies any wrongdoing, stating that there is no video evidence of him insulting anyone. “There is no video where I am seen insulting someone because I did not do so,” he said.

He criticized the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) for presenting a disk as evidence against him, calling it a cynical move.
“It is absurd when an MIA representative presents a disk as proof and claims I violated the law. This so-called evidence only highlights the level of cynicism,” he stated.

Kadagidze was detained on administrative grounds during the protest and was later fined by the court.
