Giorgi Vashadze creates ‘third force’ opposition platform along with ex-head of UNM

Head of Strategi Agmashenebeli opposition party Giorgi Vashadze has created the political platform – third force, which unites former head of the United National Movement opposition party Grigol Vashadze, leader of Republicans Khatuna Samnidze and other political figures.

 

Vashadze stated earlier that most Georgian voters are undecided because they have ‘no choice.’

 

He stated that people are not eager to vote for either the ruling Georgian Dream party or the United National Movement opposition.

 

Vashadze says that the platform will unite ‘many professionals’ around the country and will have its candidates in the October 2 municipal elections.

 

The ruling party ‘is sure’ the platform will have a ‘low public trust’ because of the politicians presented in it.

 

Grigol Vashadze left the chairmanship of the UNM after the 2020 parliamentary elections because of controversies concerning the party’s future.
