Givi Mikanadze Inspects Renovation Works at Tbilisi Public Schools

Georgia’s Minister of Education, Science and Youth, Givi Mikanadze, has inspected ongoing renovation and rehabilitation works at several public schools across Tbilisi.

Mikanadze visited schools in the Vake-Saburtalo, Chughureti and Old Tbilisi districts together with Tbilisi Vice Mayor Giorgi Tkemaladze and representatives of local authorities.

According to the ministry’s press service, the rehabilitation programme includes the complete renovation of school grounds and learning spaces at Tbilisi’s Vladimir Komarov Public School No. 199, Public School No. 161 and the First Experimental Public School.

Renovation works are also underway at Tbilisi Classical Gymnasium, including repairs to the building’s roof and upgrades to classrooms and sanitary facilities. Rehabilitation works have also been carried out at Public School No. 31.

Construction, comprehensive rehabilitation and various repair projects are currently underway at public schools across Georgia as part of efforts to modernise education infrastructure and provide students with a safe, modern and high-quality learning environment.

Members of parliament, representatives of Tbilisi City Hall and the City Council, as well as heads of the relevant district administrations, also attended the inspection.
