Two arrested in Gori for arson, threats, Interior Ministry

Both suspects were arrested as a result of operational measures and investigative actions conducted by police.

Officers of the Gori District Division of the Shida Kartli Police Department under Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrested two individuals on charges of threats and deliberate destruction of property by arson.
A man born in 1992, identified as M.N., allegedly threatened to kill a man born in 1978, G.G., and members of his family following a personal dispute, the MIA press office said.
Law enforcement authorities said that another suspect, M.M., born in 1995 and previously convicted, became aware of the conflict and intentionally set fire to G.G.’s vehicle, causing damage.
Both suspects were arrested as a result of operational measures and investigative actions conducted by police.
The offenses are punishable by up to six years of imprisonment, the Ministry said.
