The Georgian government has announced lifting of all coronavirus restrictions starting on March 28, except wearing of facemasks in transport and closed facilities.

 

Those individuals who will arrive in Georgia without PCR tests will not be sent to self-isolation as well.

 

Georgian Health Minister Zurab Azarashvili said today that the pandemic is nearing its end, noting that both daily and active infections have decreased in the country.

 

Georgia has reported 1,053 new cases of coronavirus, 2,067 recoveries, and seven deaths in the past 24 hours, while 25,013 remain infected with coronavirus in Georgia as of today.

 

1,643,295 cases of coronavirus have been registered in Georgia since February 26, 2020.

 

The virus has claimed 16,678 lives since April 2020.
