Georgian PM Irakli Garibashvili has stated that the government will launch the public employment programme for socially vulnerable individuals starting March 1.
He said that out of the 600,000 socially vulnerable individuals in the country, up to 200,000 are fit for work and they refuse to find jobs in fear of losing state support.
In his previous comments Garibashvili promised the individuals who are fit for work will have stable jobs and will not be dependent on budgetary support.
“Individuals who are fit for work should not receive social assistance. They should have jobs to earn their incomes,” Garibashvili said.
